Argonaut Bike To Be Raffled Off With 100% Proceeds Going Directly To No Kid Hungry Non-Profit

Monday, May 8, 2017 — Bend, OR - Argonaut Cycles in conjunction with the Chefs Cycle, will be donating a full-build custom carbon fiber bicycle to raise funds for the No Kid Hungry initiative. Chefs Cycle is a fundraising endurance event featuring award-winning chefs and members of the culinary community fighting hunger outside the kitchen.

The Argonaut bike (being raffled off) will be custom fitted to the rider in both size and the frame’s carbon layup, tailoring specifically to the riding style and preference of feel on the road. The Argonaut frame will be using Shimano, ENVE and Mavic parts and components to round out the build. Raffle tickets are selling for $50 per ticket or $125 (for 3 tickets) -- 100% of the proceeds are a direct donation to Chefs Cycle / No Kid Hungry. Purchase your raffle tickets online here for your chance to win an Argonaut that retails for $12,800.

Argonaut Specs:

  • Chris King Headset
  • Mavic Ksyrium Pro Carbon SL
  • Full ENVE cockpit
  • Shimano Dura-Ace Rim Brake

The raffle will be facilitated by Portland renowned chef, Chris DiMinno, who is partnering with Argonaut to raise the funds. DiMinno rode with Chefs Cycle for the first time last year and has since made raising funds for No Kid Hungry a year-long initiative -- the contributions from Argonaut, Shimano, ENVE and Mavic will help considerably.

"I am excited to once again partner with Argonaut for my second year riding Chefs Cycle. Last year we raised over 1 million dollars for childhood hunger,” says DiMinno. “Every dollar raised creates 10 meals for those in need, that makes turning the pedals with Chefs Cycle an easy choice.”

For 2017, the team of celebrity chef riders aims to double last year’s success by raising $2 million for 20 million meals. Each rider has a personal fundraising page with the goal of raising at least $7,500 as part of a community of committed culinary cyclists who marry their passions for food, fitness, and philanthropy.
